Heron Pond
I forged and welded Heron Pond from recycled steel, horseshoer's rasps, a file, a bolt and other found objects. It depicts life in Wetlands; the plants and animals of this ecosystem. I'm inspired by the intersection of land water and sky; it's beauty and it's importance in buffering weather.

Description of Artwork
In Heron Pond and Lake in the Desert Diptych I use found, recycled objects to depict the aquatic botanical environment of herons, a turtle, lizard, fish and frog. I use angle iron, horseshoer's rasps, pitchforks, rakes, chain and bolts to depict these animals and plants in the wetlands.
