CHASING BUTTERFLIES
This piece is inspired by my enchantment of searching for nature’s hidden treasures. I first kew it in childhood, hunting for butterflies in the strawberry fields. As an adult, I realized that it wasn’t the catching of butterflies that was important, it was the pleasure of being there, cloaked behind a screen of purpose. Walking with a net declared my intentions making me aware of my surroundings. Just like the fisherman who really doesn’t care if he catches any fish, he just likes to be near the water!

Description of Artwork
Stardust is inspired by a desert rose. I love the history this crystal captures. The desert rose is strong as a rock and delicate as a flower. Just as the lacy planes of steel are juxtaposed, we are interdependent, woven in a web of interconnected forces of fragility and strength.
